This study aims to explore the comprehensive value of the zakat command in enhancing the spiritual and social welfare of the zakat payers (muzakki). Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach, the study includes in-depth interviews with muzakki, observation of zakat activities or programs, and analysis of related documents such as zakat institution reports and academic literature. Data analysis follows the theory of Miles et al. (2014), using Nvivo qualitative analysis software. The findings indicate that zakat serves as a tool for the purification and sanctification of both the muzakki and the recipients (mustahik), cleansing sins, and traits of greed and envy. It not only purifies wealth from impurities but also enhances social and spiritual welfare, fostering inner peace and family harmony. The prayers of the zakat administrators further reinforce the benefits of zakat, bringing grace and happiness.
Ahmad Hariyadi
