Penerapan Pendidikan Karakter dalam Program Tahfid Qur’an di Abad 21

In the 21st century, humans are experiencing scientific and technological developments in all fields. One of the most prominent is technology in the field of information and communication. The problems faced by humans in the 21st century are very complex, such as low multicultural awareness, disparities in the quality of education, and so on. all of this shows that in the 21st century good preparation is needed to form superior human resources. Education has a role to shape character in efforts to increase human resources in the 21st century. 21st century. Character education is a solution to situations of attitudes, social behavior of children, adolescents, young people. The decline or change in attitudes and cultural values of the nation must be addressed immediately through religious education. There are various kinds of religious education, one of which is by implementing the tahfidz program in schools. With this program, students will be accustomed to memorizing and practicing the holy verses of the Qur'an, so that the religious attitude, discipline, responsibility and hard work of students will increase and can create better character. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with observation, documentation and interviews as data collection methods. The data analysis techniques in this study were through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Forms of character education developed in the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Program through materials and methods of the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an program in raising awareness in students of the importance of reading, memorizing and practicing the Al-Qur'an in everyday life.
